What's Up Friends?

Still have a horrible back, shoulder and neck. Finally went to the ER yesterday. The degenerative disease in my back is running rampant and has found itself inn my neck vertebra. Nerves exposed and being pinched by floating bone. It's all so discouraging. Gosh, what will I be like in another 10 years?!

Anyway, I did a bit of crocheting this week but only little bits here and there. I purchased some beautiful hand-dyed sock yarn on Etsy a few weeks ago and made this lovely pink tonal scarf. I haven't blocked it yet and will do that this afternoon or tomorrow (more likely). It should open up and be beautifully lacy.

I finished the orange infinity scarf by adding a pretty little flower. The Mood Scarf is coming along. Due to the owner being a miserable person there is a lot of darn purple in it. Today's addition, however, was a little brighter.

I received some Red Heart Boutique (Unforgettable) yarn in the mail and started this pretty scarf to be used as a Christmas present. It's a thicker yarn so it's working up pretty fast.

Getting a bit of crocheting done for step-granddaughters. I just love how this pretty little set turned out. So soft and PINK!

Well, that's it for now. The shoulder and back are screaming at me so I'll sign off. Have a fantastic week everyone!

  1. So sorry to hear about your back. That does sound very painful. You made some good progress this week. The pick set is so sweet and I am sure it will be loved. I like all of your scarves too. The flower is a great addition to the orange scarf. Hope your pain is better this week.

  4. I'm so sorry to hear about your painful back, Bev, and how discouraging that news would be to hear. You have some lovely things above. The mood scarf is turning out pretty (though is it terrible that your comment made me chuckle?) And I have wondered how that Ice Cream yarn works up. That scarf and hat set are beautiful - and the pom poms are the perfect finishing touch.

  7. Hope your back gets better soon Bev. I have a bad back too but it sounds nothing compared to yours. I can only imagine how you must feel. That RH Unforgettable yarn is gorgeous. I've made a few scarves with it and love them. I also like the pink/white yarn - very pretty. Take care. xox

  8. Ouch! Yours sounds much more painful than mine although I am taking more Tylenol than I have in my entire life! I get mad when I don't feel well because it really interferes with my productivity! LOL! I pray your pain subsides and you are able to live your life in comfort. Your projects look wonderful and that little pink set is just precious. What a lucky recipient!

  14. Hope the meds kick in soon and that you get some relief from that nasty pain. Love the crocheted flower on one of those scarfs, such a fun addition. I have a love/hate relationship with purple, lol, one day I love it, the next day I hate it. Moods I suppose. The pink set is so lovely, looks very squishy and comfortable. Great job on all of your projects.

  15. Oh I am so sorry to read you are having such bad pain. I have fibromyalgia so I can relate. I take a lot of drugs for inflammation and still have pain. I feel the worst when it rains and it rained a lot this summer. I sure hope you get some relief soon. No one deserves to be in so much pain. I'll be thinking of you. All of your projects are lovely but that pink set is so sweet. Your mood scarf is really looking good too. At least you picked pretty colors so even when they are dark it looks nice. ((hugs))
