Graduations, etc., etc., and so forth

I have two step-granddaughters graduating from high school and one nephew. I'm so proud of them. It's hard to watch them all grow up. I remember when they were little and I asked them to please promise me they wouldn't get any bigger and they all told me that they had to grow up and "be big." Now they are "big" and I have a hard time wrapping my mind around it.

I've been a bit busy on the crochet front. A few baby blankets were requested by my darling daughter. She has two baby showers coming up. Mom helped me and we finished up a few to mail off this morning. I also crocheted around some burp clothes -- which I love to do.

This was only three of the five blankets completed and only five of the 8 burp clothes. Mom made the blanket in the bottom right. She's still got the touch -- at nearly  91!

Other than that not much going on here in Arizona. I will add that it's supposed to get to 111 degrees today. Hard to believe, isn't it? WOW! Getting warm here.

  1. Lovely photo of your granddaughter Bev and yes, they do grow up way too quickly. My eldest grandson is now 13 and my other one is 18 months. Still enjoying both of them though and the fact that the youngest one and his mum live here with me is a real bonus. Yours and your mothers crochet blankets look lovely - at 91 years of age, your Mom sure still has what it takes ! While you're sweltering, I'm sitting here with the house heating at 20 degrees celsuis and a little fan heater just behind me for a little extra warmth. Enjoy the weekend. xox
