Angelic Shrug for 18" American Girl Doll

Materials Needed:
            1 oz. baby yarn
            G crochet hook

Back – Make 1
Foundation Row: Ch 25
Row 1: Sc in sec chain from hook, sc in each stitch across, ch3 and turn.
Row 2: 2dc in turning stitch, * sk 2 st, sc in next stitch, ch3 and sc in same stitch, 2dc in same stitch * repeat * to *, sc in last stitch, ch3, turn (called pattern stitch throughout)
Repeat Row 2 for a total of 7 rows, finish off.

Front – Make 2
Foundation Row: Ch 11
Row 1-8: Repeat pattern as for back (see Row 2 above for back), finish off.

Repeat for other side. Sew shoulder seams together leaving last pattern stitch not sewn. Stitch one half inch up each side. Work pattern stitch all the way around the sides and neck. Finish off.

(The dress was someone else's design that I tested. Not sure where it is now.)
