Bebe Blanket Pattern -- FREE!

MATERIALS
          Stylecraft Special Double Knit (2 skeins purple, 1 skein cream)
          Crochet Hook size I
          Tapestry Needle for sewing in ends
STITCHES AND ABBREVIATIONS
          Chain (ch)
          Double crochet (dc)
          Single crochet (sc)
          Slip stitch (sl st)
          Stitch, stitches (st, sts)
GAUGE
          Not important for this blanket
         

Special Stitch: 3-dc Puff Stitch: (Yo, insert hook in next st, yo, draw yarn through st, yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook) 3 times in same st, yo, draw yarn through 4 loops on hook.

Foundation Chain:  Ch 123 (Alternatively: Multiples of 4+3.)

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each of next 2 ch, * ch 1, skip next ch, dc in each of next 3 ch; rep from * across to within last ch, dc in last ch, turn.

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), skip first 2 dc, (3-dc puff st, ch 4, 3-dc puff st) in next dc, * skip next 3 sts, (3-dc puff st, ch 4, 3-dc puff st) in next dc; rep from * across to within last 2 st, skip next dc, dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.

Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 3 dc in next ch-4 loop, (ch 1, 3 dc) in each ch-4 loop across to last ch-4 loop, dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.

Rep Rows 2-3 for pattern. (40 rows)

Border: Sc in MC around entire blanket. Make sure you have even stitches on each side.

Row 1: Skip first 2 sc, (3-dc puff st, ch 4, 3-dc puff st) in next dc, * skip next 2 sts, (3-dc puff st, ch 4, 3-dc puff st) in next dc; rep from * around entire blanket, do not turn.


Row 2: Sl st in ch 4 loop, ch 3 (counts as first dc) in loop, 4 dc in loop, sc in st between clusters, * 5 dc in loop, 1 sc between clusters *, repeat * to * around except with 8 dc in corners.
